Are you stressing out that Christmas is just nine days away and your to-do list is far from done? Stress has been linked to premature aging, grey hairs and decreased quality of life, all of which affect your image and overall wellbeing.
Here is one simple tip from us at Conselle:
- Don’t forget to breathe! It sounds so simple, but when we’re stressed, our breathing becomes shallow and short. The next time you notice you’re feeling harried, take a moment to take a deep breath. Breathe from your diaphragm (your belly will expand) and slowly exhale. Deep breathing gets more oxygen to the brain, helps you to relax, have increased energy and gives you the resolve to handle the things that are causing stress in your life.
So the next time you’re standing in line for gift wrapping, or at a red light on the way to a Christmas party this holiday season, take a few deep breaths. Your body will thank you for it!
