This morning on our way out the door, my husband slipped on the icy walkway and the berry smoothie he was carrying splashed everywhere – including on his favorite light gray Chaps blazer he was wearing. We were absolutely speechless. How could we possibly remove these raspberry and blueberry stains from a light colored suit jacket? It seemed like a lost cause.
You’ll be happy to know that it is possible! To remove a stain from a suit jacket, always start with the simplest method.
- With a towel dipped in cold water, brush off any remaining residue. (This works with thicker liquids once they’ve dried.)
- Then run the piece of clothing underneath a stream of ice cold water. Be careful not to use warm or hot water as it will set the stain.
If you could see the same suit jacket now, you would never believe that hours earlier, it was sprinkled with a myriad of glaringly obvious purple berry stains. Using this simple and cost effective method of stain removal, we were successfully able to remove the stain from the suit jacket!
What is your best method of stain removal?
