“I love my wife,” lamented my friend, “but I’ll never wear that sweater she gave me. I’ve got a whole pile of Christmas clothes in the back of my closet. What a waste.”
He’s right. None of us can afford to waste time, money, nor space on clothes we don’t yet. Yet, an important source of clothing for the family are the presents we give and receive on birthdays and holidays. We all need to like and make good use of these important gifts.
A clothing gift, can, however, present a package of problems for a variety of good reasons. Maybe the clothes don’t fit. If they don’t fit or flatter your body, that’s uncomfortable. But that’s one problem often easily solved–simply exchange it for your size. Our tip for your season gift grief? Make sure, before you buy for someone else, that exchanges are allowed.
